Ana Carolina Castillo Crimm, a Mexican by birth, has a Ph.D. for the University of Texas at Austin and is currently and assistant professor of Latin American History at Sam Houston State University. Her work focuses on the cultural survival of the Mexican Americans of Victoria, Texas.
